It would be tight but yes we think you could. We got to the sky lift about 10am, had lunch in the restaurant at 1pm before returning to the ship. We had plenty of time. You could get back to the ship by 1pm leaving the Sky Lift around 12 to be safe.

Did you manage to see yourself in the video at all?

It’s not for everyone but it does have a great view for people watching. We’ve had a cabin at the front of the ship, a bit windy but best spot when coming in and out of port.

Thanks Paul! We certainly learnt a lot over the years of cruising. Norway is incredibly beautiful, always worth getting up early to watch the sail into the fjords. Deck 8 sunset bar is one of our favourite places and we love the fish & chips at The Quays. Have an amazing first cruise.

Hi Andy & Bet! Thank you for your kind comments, glad you enjoyed the video and had a walk on part 😅 We use a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for most of our videos. Great quality even in lower light settings and stable shots. Only drawback it is not waterproof so we have a GoPro 12 for very rainy days or filming in water.

She did get it back eventually :)

😊 it is a bit of a long video! More of a movie night. We had a meal in the restaurant at the top of the Loen Sky Lift in Olden. Amazing views but yes you do pay for them. Hopefully you will see the view a bit latter in the video when you get time. We had a lovely cruise and were lucky to see such amazing things. ❤

The hiking trip out looks amazing! Such beautiful scenery! My mobility wouldn't allow me to do that, so it's wonderful to watch someone else do it! What was your overall impression of Iona? We sail on her for the 1st time in November to the Canary Islands

We loved the ship. Lots of great places to eat. Iona’s layout is a bit odd, doesn’t seem to flow like other ships so expect to have fun getting lost 😅. Pulpit Rock hike was much harder than we expected, very uneven under foot and often a steep incline. Worth it in the end for that dizzy view from the top. Have a great cruise in the Canary’s, we enjoyed a visit to Madeira when we were on route last year.

Thank you! We loved the suite, felt very special and so lucky to be able to experience it. We didn’t notice any smoke smell, there was some base noise from the lounge but really didn’t bother us and it was hardly noticeable. Would book it again no worries. 😊

It’s an amazing cabin with the best balcony on the ship. You do hear some noise from the public areas but it’s not excessive and really we hardly noticed it. Very jealous! Have a great cruise.

@@kazandnige so you’ve stayed in the B deck suite too? Or are you talking about A deck one? I chose B deck as it seemed to have the best balcony along with A and G deck…the other wrap ones are waaaay too narrow! 😬

@suitedreams1437 ah no, it was A deck. Same with balcony as B. But as you mentioned some decks have a much narrower balcony.

Thank you. We’re going to Fjords so I doubt there’ll be much sunbathing, but still great to have a deep balcony to take in those views. Especially undercover. I’m delighted they’ve put those screens up. 🤩

Thank you very much! We loved Santorini only wish we had more time there. It was very easy to do independent, get off early to avoid the cable car queue. We then walked around the town and found a taxi. Great value and yes all pretty much on time. The queue down the cable car looked like an hour wait so we walked. Great experience but you need decent shoes and an ability to walk down a relatively steep slope. Loved it!!

Not allowed to fly from the ship. From the shore it will depend on what country you are in as they all have different rules.

Thank you! We really enjoyed our cruise on Spectrum. Interesting to see the Chinese influence with the sings. Food was also Asian based which we loved. She is in for a refit now and being relocated.

Hi Angela, thank you! You could buy alcohol in the departure airport but when you land you are taken directly from the plane to a coach transfer to the ship so won’t have time.

It’s ok we guess on a short cruise but a lot of money (and alcohol) to consume in 16 nights! 🤭

Yes, we could use the Silver Lounge for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and lunch was buffet style with dinner off a menu or a buffet. Service was excellent as was the surroundings but limited choice and menu was the same each evening. No booking, just walk in.

@@leoinlalaland3984 ​​⁠probably not for the extra perks as they are limited. We did enjoy and appreciate the extra cabin space. Separate toilet and a bath was a bit of a luxury on a cruise. Also the wider balcony with comfy loungers was nice.

It varies so much, nice to have but very expensive and on a 2 week cruise it’s a lot of alcohol to consume.

Beyond any hope of repair now, a sad sight but with so many great memories for the Island.

Hi, thank you very much. We got priority check in and boarding but no lounge or fast track security. We did consider paying for fast track but it was really simple and quick anyway.
